Hi, I’m Charlene, a UX/UI designer with a background in architecture, social work, and the arts.

My journey into UX design has been driven by my passion for creating user-centered experiences that are both functional and engaging.

I received a B.S. in Architectural Studies and a Master of Urban Planning where I learned the importance of designing spaces that prioritize user needs. This foundation in spatial thinking and problem-solving naturally led me to UX design, where I focus on crafting intuitive, inclusive digital experiences.

My diverse professional experiences have also strengthened my design approach:

  • As a Digital Media & Office Manager at a nonprofit arts organization, I managed the design and development of online exhibitions, honing skills in user interface design, information architecture, and ensuring accessible, user-friendly digital experiences aligned with branding guidelines.

  • In my role as a Digital Media Manager in New York’s Upper East Side, I led digital media campaigns and curatorial initiatives, leveraging design thinking to enhance user engagement, ensuring consistent visual identity and brand coherence across both digital and physical platforms.

  • As a Housing Outreach Specialist in a community nonprofit, I developed user-centered communication strategies and optimized client-facing documents, applying principles of clarity and accessibility to improve user experience and streamline processes.

These roles have instilled in me a strong commitment to human-centered design, whether I’m creating physical spaces or digital products. I’m excited to bring my experience in digital content, advocacy, and visual storytelling to the world of UX design, crafting digital experiences that truly resonate with users.
